1st Thailand Trip - Bangkok & Ayuthaya (Day2)

We are the early bird!!! woke up at 5am to get prepared! get out of the hotel room by 6am to catch the buffet breakfast~
6am! haha we are first to be there again! their spread is really a WOW! they even have cheese, sushi, spinach cheese, redang, dim sum prepared early in the morning~
restaurant was by the pool
Inho is very happy with the spread~ but celine is rushing him~ *we only have 15min to makan*Rushed to the railway station by 6.30am! heng we arrived early... didn't know the time stated in the web site is just for reference nia~ =_=! the train left at 6.40am!!! lucky we reached early
Our dirt cheap 20bht 3rd class ticket to ayuthaya~ all ticket to ayuthaya is only 3rd class =_=!
Main atrium of railway station~ alot ppl resting, lying there waiting for their train~
got some help and we manage to hop on the right trainHappily sit down.. thinking eh 3rd class not as bad as i thought~ pretty comfortable just that there isnt any aircon... BUT!!!!! the ticket supervisor kicked me to the actual 3rd class seat 5min after i sat down -_-!!
then we are being kicked to the 20bht class~ dirty but if you "mai hiam bue pia" lah... lucky morning air was cool~
After 2 hrs of tutu train ride, we reached AYUTHAYA !!! "kampong" (province) of Thailand.. once the capital of Thailand in the 1300-1700s~
Took a 4bth boat and we reached the wet market... *sibei smelly* There is no cab in ayuthya but there are alot of tuk tuk around the market~ we hired one.. he was a very kind looking uncle (look alittle like inho's step dad) :) agreed to hire him at 400bht for 4hr~
Tuktuk in this province look more like a motor-van! biggier, slower and very safe~
Our first destination.. Wat Mahathat.. one of the oldest temple in Ayuthaya..
It's hotter in Ayuthaya than Bangkok.. 40 degree OMG!Ruin City Wat Mahathat
Burned down in the war by Burmese
We find this super realistic... beri scare it will blink at me :(
One of the 2 well preserved buddha in Wat Mahathat
The people still worthship the buddha in this ruin city

Headless Buddha~ the heads are stolen by local thief to black market~
The 2nd well preserved buddha.. a smaller one
The architecture there are magnificent
Next to the entrance... Under the banyan treeis my favourite spot of all~ the famous buddha head!Next ... we travel to Wat Ratburana... Build by siam king in 1948 in memorial to his 2 elder brother whom die fighting for the King throne...
Chedis to store king's ashMy photos look fabulous right~ coz there isnt any cloud in the sky!!! we almost dafter visiting Wat Ratburana... never been to such a hot place in my life before~

Next ... we went to Wat Phra Si Sanphet (Royal Palace) build in 1941!!! was a very very big place~ we spend about 1plus hour walking ... we even got lost!
Elephant rides at 400bht/person
King Rama 5's settlement..
King Rama V love Red Fanta~ (soda)
You can see alot of Thais worthship him like a religon everywhere... Ponpon say he the first to bring in democracy, introduce employment act and doing away the slavery system in Siam (Thailand)... i didnt know siam also have slavery system before 1900s~ As in 1867, they accounted for one-third of Siamese population *SO MUCH?!*
King Rama V kitchen
Wihan Phra Mongkhon Bophit has a large bronze seated Buddha image (Phra Mongkhon Bophit) was originally enshrined outside the Grand Palace to the east.. The marble temple~ imagine.. marble under scotching sun!!! best of all you need to take off your shoes to walk in!!! my feet is BBQ-ing!!! No kiddin! ahhhhhhhh
Huge golden buddha.. alot follower worth shipping it~
Wat Phra Si Sanpet (Royal Palace)
the 3 chendis holding ashes of 3 Thai King
Can you spot inho? *under the tree behind*Next we went to Wat Phu Khao Tong (White Temple)
It was built by King Ramesuan in 1387. Burengnong, the Burmese king, built three layers of the large superimposed base in the Burmese style after he seized Ayutthaya in 1569 and named it Phu Khao Thong. The main body of the Thai-style chedi was built later.
after Ayutthaya fell to the Burmese in 1767 the whole place was burned down. The Thai Government, under Premier Pibulsongkram, renovated the shrine again approximately 40 years ago.Yes... the building is slanted!!! not my photography skill :pWe collasped after this!!! request tuk tuk uncle to send us to railway station straight after this~ Lucky we came off early.. the train came 20min early again~ if we missed this.. the next one is 2 hr away.. best part is there isnt any air-con resting place or restaurant around.. only hot sun and road side food =_=!! 1 think we cannot understand... it is already so hot in Thailand why the ppl there love to eat BBQ/grill food when they themselve are sweating alot?!I insist to go to the 7-11 nearby to get some milo or energy food~ was already 1+pm (about 2+pm SG time) i am so hungry~ but we dont dare to makan anything from that province.. dont think anyone will want to eat anything from there after you been to the wet market~ Not that i am afraid of the hygen but i was worried i will stay in the toilet for the rest of my trip... So i rather stick to something i can trust~ 7-11!!!! Our 20bht chicken burger, jus in time for a quick fuel up!

The train back to bangkok was PACKED and HOT and HUMIT and take even longer than the morning train!! =_= terrible!!! We reached hotel at 4pm to get shower, take panadol and nap for like 2hr before we can get back on our feet...
With my new blouse bought in Ayuthaya + my grey pants~ i think i look very thai in this ~ :D
Took a taxi to MBK!!
Dinner was in a Thai Restaurant
Lime soda 89bht -_- quite ex hor..
Green Curry Pork 120bht
Tom Yam Gong (prawn) 125 bht

Ino was too tired to walk after dinner~ he was suffering from fever after Ayuthaya trip~ we went Massage instead... Healthland massage, recommended by my colleague Nakano san
It's 8 plus 9.. still alot of customer~ The massage wasnt as good as expected~ so we didnt tip them...

Went to Suan Lum night bazaar which is pretty near from the massage center (around Silom)... things there are expensive~ no intention to shop for cloth or bag.. only managed to grab some cute cups~ we even saw live band in the hawker/foodcenter there. look shiok~ but inin was too exhausted to stay~

We have Vitagen and Thailand have Betagen!

A colorful day we have
